9U

 Joe Winkler (Head Coach) - Joe played baseball for over 20 years, including, Cuyahoga Falls Little League, Travel Ball with GABF and AABC, pitching for Cuyahoga Falls High School, and with the United States Marine Corps where he was a player/coach.  He has been coaching with Cuyahoga Falls Little League since 2006Tryouts will be held August 1st - 1pm to 3pm , August 8th - 3pm to 5pm and August 15th - 1pm to 3pm at William O. Troy Holmgren (Manager) - Troy was a 3 year letter winner in Baseball at Kenmore High School. He played baseball for 14 years, including Kenmore Youth Baseball, Boys of Summer and Kenmore High School where he received First Team All City and Second Team All County his senior year.  He also received Second Team All City his junior year. Troy was a camp counsellor at USA Baseball Academies in Simsbury, CT for 2 years and played 2 years at Potomac State College where he played in the Junior College World Series 1993.  Troy graduated from the University Of Akron with a B.S. in Elementary Education. 11 & 12U

Cole Morozek (Manager) - Cole played with the Boys of Summer for 5 years, including a trip to Puerto Rico for National Championships. In 2006, he was selected to the Puma National team to travel the world. He received 2nd team all league/2nd team all district as a Sophomore and Honorable Mention all league as a Junior with a tom ACL. A 3 year letter winner at Green High School. Cole is currently attending Kent State University working towards his teaching degree. For info call Cole @ 330-413-3033


 Joel Morozek (Head Coach) - Joel was All state in 1983 with Bedford High School and received a full scholarship to Crowder College in Missouri. He was selected to the US Rawlings team to play in Europe and has been coaching since 1996, including 4 years with Boys of Summer, taking the 2002 team to the National Championships. Tryouts will be held August 1st -1pm to 3pm, August 8th - 3pm to 5pm and August 15th - 1pm to 3pm at William O. Dotson Field Field #2 (click on field name for directions)

 

13U

Darin Jennings (Manager) - Darin was a 3 year letter winner in Baseball and a 2 year letter winner in Football at Green High School. He played baseball for 12 years, including Green Youth Baseball, Boys of Summer and Green High School where he received First Team All Suburban League 3 times and received All County his senior year. Darin has coached for 7 years in Lake where he won multiple League and Tournament Championships, was District Runner Up, District Champions, Regional Champions, and State Runner Up. He also was a 2 year letter winner in football and received 1st Team All Suburban League. He has coached football for 8 years in Green and Lake.

Steve Durgala (Head Coach) - Steve was a 3 year letter winner in Baseball and a 4 year letter winner in Football at Kenmore High School. He played baseball for 14 years with Kenmore Youth Baseball, Manchester A's and Kenmore High School where he received All-City Series First team twice. He has coached for 18 years, including Kenmore Youth Baseball, Kenmore High School and Lake Express. Steve also is a 4 year letter winner in Football and received All-City Series First Team. He played for Glenville State University, WV for 2 years. He has coached football for 13 years in both Kenmore and Lake. Tryouts will be held July 25th - 2pm to 4pm, August 1st - 1pm to 3:30pm, August 8th - 1pm to 3:30pm at Greensburg Park, Field #3 (click on field name for directions)

Rick Gromley (Head Coach) - Rick has 35 years in Akron Public School as a teacher with an extensive athletic coaching background. Successful coach for 37 years, since 1973. Rick has been successful coaching Football, Wrestling, Softball and Baseball. He is a great commutator with students & athletes, and has a winning percentage of 83%. He has coached 6 successful years in the Boys of Summer organization as Head Coach from the 13 year old level and each level up to and including the 18s.Tryouts will be held August 8th - 1pm to 3pm, August 13th - 6pm to 8pm, August 14th - 3pm - 5pm at William O. Chris Shreve (Manager) - Chris was a 3 year letter winner in Baseball and 2 year letter winner in Football at Lake High School, where he currently teaches and coaches football. He was honorable mention all Federal League in football and was selected to play in the Hank Miller All-Star game in baseball. He played college football with West Liberty State College in WV. He has coached football for 18 years, 13 of those at the Varsity level and coached 6 years of High School baseball with both Minerva and Lake. For info all Chris @ 330-417-1729

 Joe Blasiole (Head Coach) - Joe is a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer with 19 years of Sports Medicine Experience, working with both Children's Sports Medicine and Dr. William Pakan. He was a 4 year Varsity catcher for Streetsboro High School, being voted All-County all 4 years. He continued playing for Kent State University as a starting catcher for 3 years and starting left fielder for 1 year. He was one of two team captains in senior year and was voted Academic All-MAC in 1986, 1988 and 1989 and was an All MAC selection in 1986. Joe has coached youth football and baseball for 11 years. 16U

Jeff Dallas (Head Coach) - Jeff is a 3 year letter winner at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, and in 1986 won the State Championship. He was voted as All-City and All-Diamond Conference. He played with the Akron "AA" League St. V-M Alumni Team. Jeff has 15 years coaching experience, including Head Coach at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, Head Coach at Revere High School and Assistant Coach at Copley High School. Tryouts will be August 1st - 3pm to 6pm, August 8th - 3pm to 6pm, August 15th - 3pm to 6pm at William O. Dotson Field (click on field name for directions)

Bob McCrackin (Head Coach) - Bob is a Hitting and Catching Instructor. He played baseball at Tallmadge High School where he received All Metro Selection twice and was the Summit County Player of the year. He also played for Kent State and University of Nyack, NY. Bob has 23 years of coaching experience including 7 years at the High School level where he achieved City Series Champs and Portage County League Champs. He has 3 State Titles and 4 National Championship tournament top ten appearances and was USSSA National Runner Up. Bob was inducted into the Greater Akron Baseball HOF in 1996. Tryouts will be August 1st - 3pm to 6pm, August 8th - 3pm to 6pm, August 15th - 3pm to 6pm at  Lake High School Varsity Field (click on name for directions)

Boys of Summer Athletic Club, Inc., a.k.a. the Boys of Summer, was established in 1989 and is one of the premier amateur baseball organizations in Ohio. A non-profit corporation, the Boys field teams from ages 11 thru 18.
